Please use this site as:

  • A resource to find empirical based chronic pain treatment protocols
  • Information to aid in developing treatment guidelines

The Institute for Chronic Pain is committed to changing the current practice of chronic painmanagement through rigorous adherence to the principles of empirical based healthcare and providing information about it that's approachable to the public. This goal will involve changes to reimbursement practices. Reimbursement practices should, in our opinion, foster the delivery of empirically-based treatments and discourage the use of treatments that are not empirically supported. Doing so, will help chronic pain patients and will help to make the healthcare system more sustainable.

Together, we can affect this change in a mutually beneficial way.
